Policy Statement
Wahl Clipper Corporation is committed to responsible sourcing of all minerals and materials used in its products. WCC requires that all applicable suppliers implement a policy committing to responsible sourcing of all minerals and materials in accordance with this policy.
WCC requires suppliers to conduct due diligence per OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas, including its supplements on tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold (3TG). Specifically, WCC requires suppliers to:
- Identify all 3TG materials in products or components supplied to WCC.
- Determine the country of origin and, where applicable, the smelter or refiner for each 3TG mineral.
- Use the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) v6.5 (COM-006) — aligned with the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI/CFSI) format — to disclose smelter and refinery information.
- Prioritize sourcing from smelters and refiners validated through the RMI Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP) or equivalent.
- Take reasonable steps to avoid sourcing 3TG that finances armed groups in the DRC or adjoining countries.
Reporting Obligation
Suppliers with applicable products must complete and submit a current CMRT annually or upon significant supply chain change. Submit to your WCC Sourcing Buyer.
